A Little Cookin
Friday, October 16, 2015 26 Comments Images

When I first got married I truthfully never thought I could be a mom that actually makes dinner. I know this sounds so cheesy but it's a big deal that I have finally gotten to the point that I like cooking and I try to make dinner at home for us at least 4 or 5 days a week. I know some of you are probably reading this thinking that it's ridiculous but it's a big accomplishment for me in my world. Pinterest and my sister in law Meg are my go-to cookbooks and it's shocking to me that I actually enjoy cooking and making dinner for my family. I know Brody doesn't always love all the healthy meals I try to make, but he is trooper and acts like they are all amazing haha. I recently just got this new pot hanger from Hautelook and I love it. I wanted a statement piece in the kitchen and it's just what I was hoping for. I hope you guys have an awesome Friday and get to have some fun this weekend, love you!

  3. Gorgeous kitchen! Also, my hubby would love it if I looked that cute cooking dinner :) LOL. 4-5 nights a week is a big deal even if you're a seasoned cook in the kitchen...cooking after kids has been my biggest struggle (used to love it when I had more time to spend prepping and making it).

    1. I'm sure you look darling, plus guys are usually happy just to be getting some food. It really is hard to find the time and desire to want to cook!

  8. LOL! I honestly think the same thing. I currently hate to cook, and my boyfriend always says he just wants to come home one day with dinner ready for him on the table. haha. One day!

  11. Being able to cook at home 4 to 5 times a week and enjoy it is a huge accomplishment! I'm not a mom yet, but when my husband and I moved in together I was so intimidated and saw cooking as a chore. Over the years, I've gotten to be like you where I actually enjoy it and my dishes have gotten better and better. Good for you and feel free to share some of your favorite dishes to cook!

  12. Do you mind telling me where you got the dining room table? It looks like it's accidentally linked to the copper pieces! Thanks!

  14. We just had twin boys and being in the kitchen is something I miss. Good for you girl. You also look amazing, have you lost a bunch of weight? Not that you had any to lose in the first place but you're lookin' extra tiny! Quick question. That tree in the corner, where oh where did you find it? I noticed one in your master bedroom too! I need some green in our house and can't find anything I like!
