Work Hard, Play Hard
Thursday, April 07, 2016 49 Comments Images

Hey gang! Happy Thursday. Today is all about working hard and playing hard, but in particular, today's focus is about working hard. As I have mentioned in previous posts via my blog, IG, and others, I am going to start talking in more detail about my workout routine and eating habits. I have received a ton of questions regarding my workout routine and daily eating and so I want to start addressing those questions and getting them answered through a series of posts here on my blog. Today is kind of a preview of what is to come! I want to talk about a few things over the course of the next couple of weeks, these being the following:

1. My daily workout routine. What I am finding that is working for me and bringing results in the gym? How do I schedule my days and what muscles do I work daily? What specific routine and exercise plan do I follow? Does it change weekly, monthly, etc?

2. What am I eating on daily basis? I will be talking about how I am using the "macro" counting system and how that has helped me stay on task with my diet and kept me eating more healthy than I was before. Meal suggestions and ideas will be discussed as well.

3. My favorite workout clothes/attire. As you can see from previous posts, I love Lululemon and Nike workout gear, but there are other brands that I have found (such as the ones pictured in this post) that have workout gear that I love and fits both my style and fit preference. Also, I will be talking about my favorite sneakers that I workout in.

This is a quick summary of what I will be sharing and discussing with you on my blog in various posts coming up, and I am super excited to be doing so. Working out and eating better have been such an evolving process for me and my life, and especially over the course of the last year or so, I have been able to learn what works for me and I have been able to recognize what is bringing me results and helping me live a happier, healthier lifestyle. Anyways, I look forward to sharing and hope you all have a wonderful day! Thank you always for your love and support!

  7. Wow Cara! You seriously look stunning! I always look forward to these posts because I could use the help. I'll be waiting for all of your tips on working out. I do have a question as well (if you could include it in your next posts). Do you only work out at home? Or do you also work out at a gym or outside?

    Thanks so much!

  8. Love! One question, I have a arcing little one on the way (due in October) and I'm worried I won't be able to find the time to get buff after he/she arrives! Dies your hubby watch them typically!? Any advice would be great!

    1. It's really hard after a newborn so make sure you give yourself time to recover and hopefully sleep! I started doing things from home and then I use the daycare at my gym when my babies were old enough. Sometimes I'd have to wait for my husband to get home too. I just had to make it a priority or else other things would get in the way!

  30. I'm just coming around to seeing this post and I've been really enjoying your health updates and videos on Instagram. I'm pregnant with my second baby and already feel like it will be harder to bounce back than with the first. While I can't work out to the fullest right now, you are most definitely serving as my inspiration for post-baby health. Can't wait to see more posts about what you eat daily as I know that is a larger part of our appearance than workouts. Thanks for sharing as always!

  31. I'm 5"3 150 but very muscular with a tiny waistline, but large quadriceps and bum. Finding workout gear to fit me in the legs means going 2 sizes up making the waistband super loose not these pattern leggings, just ordered 2.
