About///

Hello you lovely followers, let me tell you a little bit about my life.
I am Cara Loren Van Brocklin and I am 22.
I married the love of my life 3 years ago on June 19th, 2009 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.
My husbands name is Brody Van Brocklin and he is 28.
He is the most handsome man I have ever seen, inside and out.
Ask anyone and they will tell you he the nicest guy ever,
everyone loves him.
He is for sure my better half,
I'm one lucky girl to have snatched him up.

I became a mommy on October 28th.
His name is Hanes and he is perfect.
He is the most amazing little man a mommy could ever ask for,
because of him everyday is better than the next.

Brody and I met at Weber State,
he played basketball for Weber and i danced
I think we were made for each other.
Dance was a huge part of my life and I will always love it
and I sure do love my old team
I am done dancing now and have my amazing little man which is more than I could ever ask for.
I am madly in love with my husband and can't wait to be with him and my family forever.

This blog is about my life, family, fashion, and whatever else I decide I want to talk about that day!
I definitely have a passion for fashion.  I love trying new things and being inspired by others.  I thought I would start a blog because I was hoping others would be inspired by me.  You have to wear clothes, you might as well love them and feel good in them!
I love followers, comments and hearing that people actually enjoy my blog!
Thank you for following!
if you have questions or anything email me @ caralorenblog.gmail.com

anything given to me is labeled with a c/o
I do not post anything that doesn't reflect my own personal style.  I also don't put anything on the blog that I wouldn't purchase and wear for myself.  This blog and my integrity means so much to me and way more than any potential earning.  Thank you so much for all of your support and for following, you have no idea how much it means to me!

    1. I'm wondering the same thing! If not, is your hair naturally thick? If so, what brand of extensions are they and how are they bonded?

  26. Hi I love your blog. You seam to wear a lot of skirts which I love. I'm pretty short and I have the hardest time finding skirts long enough because my garments go so low. You seam to not be very tall either. How is this not a problem for you also? What kind of garments do you wear?

  28. Hey Cara, I do my hair the same way and love it! I'm a fan of the ConAir Infiniti wand and all my friends now use it too! Question: you say you work out a little bit every day but then you also said you only wash your hair every 4-5 days. That is one of my problems myself is that I work out everyday and then I feel I have to wash my hair after sweating. Sometimes I will use dry shampoo and that helps. What are your tips for after work out hair when you are in between washes? I wear my hair up when working out then it has a huge crease in it when I take it down. Also, I use L'Oreal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray. You would love it because it does not leave your hair crunchy or looking like you sprayed it at all! I love it. It's a long gold aerosal can. Check it out!

  29. You are the cutest thing...your videos are such help to me personally, because like you, I have coarse/frizzy/thick hair and certain products make it worse...I love the tip about turning the curling iron straight down. Thank you for being just a normal girl with beautiful trends/secrets. Looking forward to reading and watching more tutorials and blogs :) p.s. Just started following you on Instagram :) Mines @kendradeetodd

  34. Hi Cara,
What a beautiful person you are and with such a beautiful family too! I just found your blog through Pinterest and was watching the tutorial on how you curl your hair. I have super thick, coarse, slightly wavy hair. However, I usually feel I need to wash my hair every day or two. You mentioned that you wash your hair every five days or so. How on earth do you do it? I would wash mine less if it didn't start to get oily or stinky. How do you manage going so long in between washes?
    Thanks!

  58. I absolutely LOVE your blog! The style posts of you that include your son are so beautiful. I have to ask though, because I am 22 myself... How do you afford such nice clothes, accessories, shoes, etc. for yourself and your son? I'd like to take some hints from you :-)

    ReplyDelete
  59. I love your blog...but I think when you write about having Hanes, you meant to say "each day is better than the last"...not "next"...I only caught that because my hubby and I joke about being married in that "each day is better than the next" ("there's something about mary" quote). I just began reading this blog, and I absolutely love it. Since having my 3 kids, my fashion sense has gone in the toilet, as I'm never exposed to fashion anymore. Thanks for digging me out of my lazy-fashion-mom rut! I can mindlessly be cool by just copying your style! Hope you don't mind!
